Due to the rise in COVID infections, Marfa ISD will cancel all classes on Thursday, Jan. 20 through Monday, Jan. 24. Classes will resume Tuesday, Jan. 25. Staff will report to school for professional development on these days to coordinate lessons and strategies to support students who are experiencing quarantine. District nurse Beverly Dutchover, located at the elementary school, will offer testing for students and staff. We encourage all students to wear masks and limit social gatherings. This is an evacuation drill. All students and staff are evacuating to the First United Methodist Church at Washington and Austin streets. Students will be released to parents/guardians at approximately at 10:45 a.m. A photo identification must be presented to pick up your child. Do not park or get out of your vehicle. The regular bus service will not be available after the drill.

Congratulations to the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade UIL academic participants for a first place finish at the district meet in Fort Davis this week. The students earned 630.5 points to tie with Fort Davis for first place.
