The Book Fair is next week!
Here's an easy way for students to pay for book fair purchases without fear of losing their money at school or over-dependence on teachers for guidance: eWallet.
Just go to www.scholastic.com/bf/marfaschools and you can set up an account which houses $$ for purchasing books during the book fair.

Get ready Marfa High School!! We will be traveling to Fort Stockton tomorrow 9/29 for their annual college/career fair. Students will have the opportunity to explore college and career, technical and vocational programs. In order to optimize our time so students can meet all vendors we need to leave campus by 7:15am. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Celebrate the Shorthorns who have been working on Big Bend Conservation Alliance's lighting incentive program.
Cash prizes will be distributed to the four teams working on the project and we will celebrate with a star party with Allen Gilchrist from the Big Bend Astronomer's Club that will include a sky tour and telescope views of star clusters, Jupiter, Saturn, and the moon.
Friends, families, and faculty are all welcome for this celebration and night sky tour.
MHS English I classes are participating in the annual Poetry Workshop with Chinati.
This year the class took a walking field trip to the Chamberlain building to observe artwork to creatively write. The classes will be working with Chinati to explore and write poetry which will be shared later on with their peers and families.
Get ready for a one-of-a-kind learning experience coming to Marfa Schools!
The @LearningUNDFTD Texas Mobile STEM Lab will be visiting our school from October 4-5, 2022. We’re so excited our school was selected for this traveling field trip, a #mobilelab that brings science, technology, engineering, and math right to our school parking lot.
We can’t wait for our students to see what’s inside!
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Marfa early this year!
Marfa ISD’s Annual Book Fair is October 3-7, 2022, at the Marfa Schools Library on the High School campus. Help the school’s library reach its goal of adding 650 new books for all ages!
Hours are Monday - Thursday, 7:30 am - 4:30 and Friday, 7:30-12:00 noon. Extra shopping hours are Thursday, 10/6, 6-7:00pm. JH football takes on St Marks at 5:30 at HOME so you can shop AND watch at the same time!

The Little Spikers, our future Marfa volleyballers, were introduced at Tuesday's home game. Two Little Spikers, who served as Honorary Captains, were invited to join the Lady Shorthorn Varsity Captains at center court to receive instructions from the referees.
