We are proud to highlight Marfa ISD science teacher Mrs. Lora Loya, who recently participated in the Energy Day STEM Institute, a regional program focused on strengthening STEM instruction and increasing student engagement.
👏 Mrs. Loya earned a $750 scholarship that covered her full participation and allowed her to build valuable professional connections.
🔬 One exciting outcome of this experience was a collaboration with the Petroleum Museum’s Education Director, which led to our junior high students participating in a hands-on STEM field trip to the museum!
Thanks to dedicated educators like Mrs. Loya, innovative STEM learning opportunities continue to grow for our students. 💜🤍
