Parent Teacher Organization

What does PTO stand for? It stands for Parent-Teacher Organization, consisting of parents and teachers working together to support and enrich all MISD students. We support school staff, help promote student self-esteem, and assist in efforts to solve school needs through volunteering and fundraising. A few programs we sponsor and/or support include the Student Coat Drive (Oct. 9), the Fall Festival (Nov. 15), Box Tops for Education (year-round), Teacher Appreciation Luncheon (in the Spring), Valentine's Day Grams (in February) and more.

The PTO is a team effort in which we cannot succeed on our own. We would like to encourage every parent and/or guardian to consider helping us make our school a better place for everyone by volunteering to help any way you can. For more information please email Sarah Fellows Martinez.

Fall Festival

Sunday, October 30th (time TBD) will be our annual Fall Festival. The PTO is planning the best one yet!  More exciting details to come on this page and on our Facebook page. Volunteers will be needed to make this a successful event.

School Supply Lists

Classroom wish lists and school supply lists can be found here. Mid-year wish lists for the teachers will be updated in December.

Box Tops for Education

Box Tops are collected all year long. Please bring them to the elementary school office or a PTO member can collect them. Learn how your purchases can help support Marfa Schools.

Parents and Teachers Wanted

We meet the second Monday of each month at 5:30 PM in the cafeteria, except for the week of spring break. If you would like to be a part of the PTO, please contact PTO President Sarah Martinez or attend a meeting.
